Astana Opera – a symbol of Kazakhstan's cultural grandeur and inspiration. The State Opera and Ballet Theatre "Astana Opera" was opened in 2013 at the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. Astana Opera – the largest theatre in Central Asia – was built in accordance with the best classical traditions of global architecture, while emphasizing Kazakh national character in its architecture; its technical equipment meets international standards.
