Transportation

Transportation

Getting around Astana is easy with various transport options:

Taxi

Yandex Go/Uber and inDrive are the most reliable apps, offering affordable and safe rides. Avoid unlicensed taxis to prevent overcharging.

Buses

The city has an extensive bus network. You’ll need an Astra card for cashless payments, available at kiosks and terminals. Buses can be crowded during peak hours.

Renting a Car

Roads are well-maintained, but winter driving can be challenging due to icy conditions.

E-Scooters & Bikes

In warmer months, there are convenient e-scooter/bike rentals for short distances.

Walking

The city center is pedestrian-friendly, but in winter, icy sidewalks require caution.
